Home tour- A humble escape in the Georgia countryside!

Designer Jimmy Stanton and his partner, Patrick Greco share an old country house that they bought three years ago in Madison, Georgia. Built in 1818, this home is the oldest brick structure in town and comes with a long history of owners, additions and mishaps, including a fire in the late 1960s. However, the positives triumph over the negatives when it has so many unique architectural features such as amazing ceiling heights, intricate mantels and a soaring 11-foot ceiling in the living room.

However, renovation has proven to be a labor of love. Among other fix-ups, major ones include rewiring the electrical system and overhauling the kitchen. The results? A classic and comfortable scheme that honors the home's splendid sense of history.

Charming and rustic with a 'collected over time' look, this inviting home is one of my all time favorites. I can absolutely see myself living in a home like this without changing anything. What about you? Do you love this home as much as I do?
