The part-brick house built in 1922 in the west end of Toronto had been in a steady decline for more than 20 years when the Tetis moved in. With patch-ups by the previous owners and an absentee landlord, the most abandoned house on the block was in a bad shape. But Victoria and Tony, newlyweds at the time were drawn to the home's architectural bones and had their eyes about the unlimited possibilities. After a lengthy renovation, the home is now the family's dream home. Let's take a tour of this charming home.
What are your thoughts and which element are you most drawn to? Besides the beautiful wood beam ceiling and the rustic fireplace, I am very drawn to the brick veneer backsplash that this couple decided to incorporate in their kitchen. The brick veneer adds so much charm and character to the space. In addition, it is practical and low maintenance, what's not to love?
