Jason Oliver Nixon with partner, John Loecke acquired a Tudor rowhouse in Brooklyn's Prospect Lefferts Gardens as home and headquarters for their interior design firm, John Loeke, Inc. Inside, they have made their place their "laboratory," constantly pushing the decorative envelope with painted floors, custom sofas with floral upholstery and most strikingly, with dozens of whimsical wall-coverings-sometimes several to a room.
"For us, boring is death; we want the eye to be constantly engaged, "explains Nixon. "Wallpaper is a simple tool for taking you to another place,"says Locke. "The goal is to give you sort of an escape."

I agree with their statements that wallpaper helps to transport you to another place and give you an escape. Personally, I think their home is beautiful, eclectic and inviting. I just love how they used color and pattern fearlessly and how everything still looks pull together despite several combinations of entirely different colors and patterns. These duo are definitely masters of patterns and colors.
My favorite rooms of theirs are the blue den and the bedroom. For me, I can see myself living in homes like these although I personally do not have the guts to go as bold with my own home interiors. What are your thoughts? Are you turned off by their designs? Do you think it is a little overwhelming? Can you live with these designs? I would love to know.
