This six-floor, 15,500 square foot TriBeCa town house is owned by Paige West, a contemporary-art expert and her husband, a real estate developer JC Keeler with whom they shared with their three young boys, a 5-year-old and 3-year-old twins.
It was Keelar who discovered a 1915 warehouse on a busy street in TriBeCa, near City Hall, and decided to turn the crumbling building into a home for his family. The family lives on the top four stories, with a green roof accessible via a ladder. On the lower levels, there is a separate guest duplex.
Both the architecture and decor engage in a playful dialogue with the artwork, from the Styrofoam tower rising through the center of the stairwell to the murals in the boys' room. Now, let's take a tour of this gorgeous and whimsical home.
What do you think of this home? Do you mind living in a home like this? Personally, I love this modern and colorful home and don't mind staying here at all. Although some might find this home a little cartoonish and childish, I found it to be very inspiring with so many touches of whimsy, color, playfulness and quirkiness. It is such a happy and cheery home where I would feel like a kid again! With a home like this, I am sure it will continuously spark my creativity and ignites my boundless imagination. With that said, my favorite rooms are the vibrant kitchen and the room with the fun, black and white striped walls. And I think all their artwork are fantastic, too. Do you have a favorite room?
